# Computer repairs

A computer that boots slowly, freezes or makes noise almost always has an identifiable cause. We find it and tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing or replacing.

## What is included

- **Full diagnostics** — We test component by component: memory, drive, power supply, temperatures and stability under load.
- **Upgrades** — SSD, memory, graphics card — we recommend only what makes a visible difference to what you actually do.
- **Cleaning and thermal paste** — Fixes noise and thermal throttling at a fraction of the cost of a new component.
- **Data recovery** — We extract data from drives with logical faults or light mechanical issues.
- **Reinstall and optimisation** — A clean system, correct drivers, and removal of software that slows startup.
- **Custom builds** — We configure computers for the real need: office, design or gaming.

### Repair or replace?

We do not sell components you do not need. If an old computer only needs an SSD and a clean, we tell you so — even though a new system would be the better sale for us.

If the repair cost approaches that of a new system, we show you both options with figures, so you can decide knowingly.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is an SSD worth it on an old computer?

In the vast majority of cases, yes. It is the most visible upgrade at the lowest cost, and the difference at boot and when opening applications is immediate.

### Do you assemble computers from parts I choose?

Yes. We check the list for compatibility first and flag anything that does not fit or is needlessly oversized.

### Is it worth repairing, or better to buy a new computer?

We tell you honestly after diagnosis, with figures: the cost of repair against an equivalent machine. For computers over six or seven years old, the answer is often the second.

### Can you recover data from a failed drive?

Yes, for logical faults and for some physical ones. After an assessment we tell you the chances and the cost before starting.
