# IT infrastructure

We design and install the infrastructure the whole company runs on: structured cabling, servers, storage, backup and network equipment. All documented, so the next person who opens the rack understands what they see.

## What is included

- **Structured cabling** — A network designed on plan and certified port by port. No improvisations that come back to bite you in two years.
- **Servers and virtualisation** — Correct sizing, redundancy where it matters, and consolidation onto fewer physical machines.
- **Storage and backup** — The 3-2-1 rule applied seriously, with periodic restore testing — an untested backup is not a backup.
- **Network equipment** — Switches, routers, access points and firewalls configured for real traffic, not for the datasheet.
- **Monitoring** — Alerts on temperature, disk space, availability and traffic. We find out about problems before users do.
- **Documentation** — Network diagram, hardware inventory and credentials in a digital vault, handed over at project close.

### How we work

We start with an audit of what exists: which devices are in place, how they are connected, where the single points of failure are. The result is a report with clear priorities — what must change now, what can wait, and what each costs.

We then design for the actual need: number of users, applications that must keep running, available budget, and how quickly you must be back at work if something fails. We install outside business hours wherever downtime is not acceptable.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do you work with existing infrastructure?

Yes. In most projects we do not start from scratch — we integrate what works and replace only what genuinely needs replacing. The initial audit shows exactly what stays.

### How long does a typical project take?

For a 20–40 workstation office, two to four weeks from quote approval, including hardware delivery. The cabling itself takes a few days.

### Can you work outside business hours?

Yes, and we usually recommend it for migrations and replacement of active equipment, so work does not stop.

### How much does an infrastructure project cost?

It is quoted on the actual situation: number of workstations, existing equipment, how many network outlets are needed and the level of redundancy required. The quote follows a short audit and itemises each part rather than giving one lump sum.

### What warranty do I get on the work?

Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty; labour and configuration carry ours. Cabling is handed over with port-by-port certification, so workmanship defects are visible rather than debatable.
